What is Sculptra Aesthetic?

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that works to gradually replace lost collagen, a key protein that helps maintain skin structure and elasticity. Unlike other dermal fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic works beneath the skin to stimulate collagen production, resulting in subtle, natural-looking results that can last up to 24 months.

Is Sculptra Safe?

Sculptra Aesthetic is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds. Sculptra Aesthetic is made from a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which has been used for many years in various medical products, including dissolvable stitches. When injected into the skin, Sculptra Aesthetic works to gradually stimulate the body’s own collagen production, helping to restore lost volume and improve skin texture over time.

As with any cosmetic procedure, there are potential risks and side effects associated with Sculptra Aesthetic. These may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, or lumps at the injection site. However, these side effects are usually mild to moderate and typically resolve on their own within a few days to a week.

What Is The Treatment Process For Sculptra?

Sculptra is safe and has been used in medical products, including dissolvable sutures for over 30 years. The typical treatment regimen for Sculptra Aesthetic consists of a series of injections over three to four months. Results appear gradually over a few months and are long-lasting. In contrast, HA fillers last until the HA is absorbed by the body and excreted.
