The VI Peel™ is a medium-depth chemical peel offered at NaturallYou in Greenwich, CT, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. It penetrates the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, while also enhancing your skin’s tone and texture. The treatment combines a potent blend of ingredients to provide transformative skin rejuvenation, suitable for all skin types and tones.

The VI Peel™ enhances skin tone, texture, and clarity by addressing fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, acne, and scarring. It removes damaged skin layers, promotes cellular turnover, and improves overall skin health.

At NaturallYou, Terry Conrad, APRN often recommends the VI Peel for:

• Acne and acne scars

During your treatment, Terry and her team will cleanse your skin before applying the VI Peel solution in two layers. You may experience mild tingling, but the treatment is generally painless. The peel takes about 30 minutes, after which you will leave the solution on for several hours before washing it off at home. Your skin will begin peeling in about three days, revealing smoother, healthier skin underneath.

For optimal results, your provider may recommend receiving a series of VI Peels spaced 6 weeks apart. This frequency allows for ongoing exfoliation and skin renewal, keeping your complexion refreshed and youthful.

The VI Peel is a chemical peel formulated with a blend of active ingredients. Here are the main components and their benefits for your skin:

• Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and Phenol: Promote skin regeneration and collagen production, targeting discoloration, wrinkles, and scars.
• Salicylic Acid: Reduces acne and cleanses pores.
• Retinoic Acid: Exfoliates and reduces inflammation, aiding in acne treatment.
• Vitamin C: Acts as a powerful antioxidant, brightening skin and boosting collagen production.
• Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrocortisone: Optional ingredients to further customize your peel based on your skin’s needs.

After your peel, you will begin to notice your skin peeling in about three days. During the recovery phase, it’s important to:

• Avoid direct sunlight and use SPF 30+ sunscreen when outdoors.
• Apply the “Post-Peel Protectant” provided by NaturallYou 2 to 4 times per day.
• Moisturize regularly to support the peeling process.

Here’s what you’ll do during the recovery period after your VI Peel:

• Wash Off the Peel: About 4 to 6 hours after the procedure, and at least one hour before bed, you’ll wash off the VI Peel at home using a mild cleanser and water.
• Don’t Apply Anything to Your Face: Avoid applying any products to your face until you wash off the peel.
• Apply Post-Peel Protectant: Use the “Post-Peel Protectant” provided to you, applying it 2 to 4 times per day.
• Moisturize Frequently: Keep your skin moisturized until the peeling process is complete.
• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Stay out of direct sunlight for a few weeks after your peel. If you must be outdoors, wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
