Grotox involves injecting approximately 25-100 units of botulinum toxin into the dartos muscle after topical local anesthesia. This treatment aims to blunt the retraction reflex, allowing the penis to hang more naturally in its flaccid state. While the size when erect remains the same, the resting state appears more extended and exterior.

Results typically become noticeable 5-7 days after treatment, with follow-up appointments scheduled 1-2 weeks later to assess the need for additional products. While the reflex is not completely eliminated, neuromodulation effects typically last 3-4 months, necessitating repeat treatments to maintain the desired outcome.
